How to use
The Touch Up Pen
If you want to use the brush, fully unscrew the clear cap.
If you want to use the needle, tear off the clear cap.
Press the bottom part of the touch up pen until the paint starts penetrating through the needle tip.
Make sure NOT to press the needle!
Once used, keep the touch up pen in a dark place and make sure the clear cap is tightly closed.
CLEANER – Surface Preparation Cleaner
CLEANER is a high-quality cleaner designed for treating damaged surfaces and improving the adhesion of paint and primer. It quickly and effectively removes grease, silicones, dirt, and residues of old coatings that may interfere with the adhesion of RUST STOP primer and paint. A properly cleaned surface ensures better coating adhesion and a longer-lasting result.
Usage
Clean heavily soiled surfaces with water, dry thoroughly, and allow them to fully air-dry. Moisten a cloth with CLEANER and wipe the surface to remove all contaminants. If necessary, wipe off any remaining residue with a dry cloth. Allow the surface to dry completely. Avoid touching the cleaned surface with your fingers. Apply RUST STOP primer and paint.
Important Safety Recommendations
- Not recommended for use on unpainted plastic, as it may cause damage.
- Avoid using on heated surfaces or in direct sunlight. The cleaner is highly flammable.
- Avoid contact with skin. Use protective gloves and safety glasses.
Additional Function
Can also be used for thinning paint when reduced viscosity is needed for airbrush spray, as well as for airbrush cleaning.
The primer
It is recommended to use Rust stop, modifier / primer when factory primer is damaged or uncovered metal is visible, particularly where there are signs of corrosion.
Before using Rust stop the surface should be properly prepared. If there is a substantial layer of corrosion damage, it should be removed mechanically. If there is some flaking paint on the edges of a damaged area, remove it too. The surface should be dry, clean and grease-free.
Before every use of Rust stop, shake the touch up pen thoroughly. Apply Rust stop and leave it to dry. When the surface is no longer sticky, paint may be applied. The drying time depends on the ambient temperature.
Rust stop is water-based, so any excess amount or smears can be cleaned off with water before it dries. When it has dried, it can only be removed with a nitro diluent or acetone.
The paint
Shake the touch up pen thoroughly before using the paint. Make sure that the damaged areas are dry, clean and grease-free. Where there is some flaking paint on the edges of a damaged area, remove it, too. Apply the paint in layers. Apply the next layer only after the previous layer has dried. The number of layers required depends on the paint coverage area. Painted surfaces are recommended to be topped with a top coat. Surface not topped with a top coat becomes less resistant to environmental impact.
The top coat
Before the using the top coat make sure NOT to shake the touch up pen because air bubbles formed in it will prevent even distribution of the top coat on the surface. Apply the top coat in layers. Apply the next layer only after the previous layer has dried. After the application of the top coat, the surface will be shiny and resistant to environmental impacts.
